I don't know what to do anymore.

I seriously don't.

Deborah is always yelling at me, but later accusing me of having an attitude and being nasty to her when I usually talk to her in a calm voice.

I work as a high value clerk at UPS. We take care of packages with a INSURED value of $15,000 (or in other cases if it's jewelry, firearms, lap tops and computer chips). In the policy I SIGNED it says nothing about controlling COD (cash on demand) packages with a value of $15,000. Last night we got a $20,000 COD package that had a INSURED VALUE of $6895. She was going to control it for the COD value. When I explained to her what the policy says, she got angry at me. I asked her to calm down, and she said she was talking to me in the tone and with the attitude that I was talking to her. I was calm. She only does this when there's a supervisor around. And go figure, there was TWO last night.

She said to drop it, so I did. But then told me, "I told the driver I would control them". So in return, I politely replied, "I'll go talk to the driver now and let him know we aren't controlling the packages." Then, she yelled at me AGAIN and said, "I said to drop it Justine! So DROP IT!"

WTF?!

Both supervisors said I was calm. This woman has been trying to get me fired since she started. She's 50 years old, and I'm 20. The only reason she's STILL there is because my high value boss will NEVER listen to my side of the story. I always seem to get blown off when I try to talk to him about it.

I want to stick a tape recorder in my back pocket and tape conversations now so I can have backup as proof. This is honestly getting frustrated and ridiculous. I love my job, but HATE her. Can I tape our conversations legally?

I don't know what other options I have. *sigh* This is becoming too fucking stressful.
