The January 2016 Burns Supper is scheduled, and dinner reservations are currently open.
The Facebook event is here; it's Monday, January 25, starting at 6:00 p.m., at the Burren pub in Davis Square. This is a fun evening, and I missed the one last year, but I'm determined to go this time.
The registration page is here. Please note that admission is free, but if you want to eat dinner and take part in the early part of the evening, you have to sign up on the registration page in advance. This is how it works: first there's dinner, including poems by Burns and other entertainments such as bagpipe music, Scottish dancing, and the presentation of the haggis, and after that there's a Burns-themed and Scottish-themed sing lasting till about ten.
If you only want to come for the sing-around, there's no need to make a reservation and it will probably start by seven-thirty or eight, but I recommend registering and coming for the entire evening.
