Guys, I did it. This afternoon, I uttered a hoarse yell and sprang at the last of my online French homework and finished it off, days ahead of deadline. I would dislike this homework program even if I was a language buff, which I'm not. It had frustratingly little to do with my language comprehension, and every week it was sitting there eyeing me and insisting that I finish it off before I could get on to the homework which actually taught me stuff. And now it is done. Done done done diddly done!

I may be giddy. I'm going to celebrate by walking the dog and watching A Midsummer Night's Dream and reading for fun.
The final exam in three weeks' time marks the end of my college language requirement. I feel sorry for French, with ungrateful me studying it and resenting it all the while. If I do any further language courses, it will be by my own choice and that's what will motivate my studies. I am ecstatic that the homework is over.
