Thanks^_^ I may have to make something more of it one day.

I don't think we knew each other by sight back in 2004, but if you attended Worldcon in Boston that Labor Day weekend, I was the zombie in a prim outfit and a gray-green complexion, with neck stitches. (The gray-green skin was produced by coating myself with drug-store facial mudpack, Minty Fresh brand, and letting it dry and crack.) I may do this again at some con or other.

Your enthusiasm and intelligent discussion makes me interested in zombies, which I wouldn't be if left to my own devices. I look forward to your list of zombie protagonists!

Both of your Zombie fantasies/daydreams are worlds removed from the current spate of shambling or super-swift Infected cannon fodder. They would make much more interesting literary characters, though I it would be much easier for the designated Point of View character to be the live one.

Yes, and the word "zombie" is misleading here because the genre of apocalypse horror is so inextricably connected with mindless, shambling undead for most people.

Because of my zombie ideation, as described above, it's much easier for me to have the point of view character be the dead one, though I don't think that way so much anymore.
