available for sale as pets in the US. I read about what was either this program or a similar setup in one of my elementary psych textbooks, the other year. Apparently the foxes were created in a breeding program to select for the tamest, most cuddly-natured animals, and the present generations of fox

I once saw some snow buntings flying through these parts, and I had never seen them before, and I loved them right away, so adopted one for an icon.

I never knew that about Dalmations. That goes against everything I understood, and frankly I love it. Yay, not being able to judge a book by its cover!
I'd love to read a book series about feral cats, thanks for the rec! We used to have feral cats living in the vacant lot next door, so I'm already disposed to like a book about them.

Now I have a warm and fuzzy feeling...
I bet the feral dogs think of themselves as self-made wolves, and go around singing traditional wolf chanteys about hunting and howling at the moon and pulling victims out of the troika.
