Zombie AU with White Collar characters? - FOUND!
Ok, I'm driving myself nuts with this one, so I really need help before I go right round the twist.
I'm pretty sure it was on AO3; zombies had taken over (or it may have been a virus of some kind) and Beacon Hills had managed to fence itself off, because they had prior warning. The townsfolk are being really smart, with a quarantine set up and everything. Derek gets scratched or bitten or something, and it turns out he's immune. He tells the sheriff and the mayor that he's a werewolf. Later on, Derek and the sheriff go on a scouting mission in this kick-ass truck that's all rigged out to protect against the infected, but despite their precautions, the sheriff gets scratched. Derek ends up biting the sheriff to prevent his death, and he does turn into a werewolf.
I can't quite remember if it was Sterek, or more of a pre-Sterek situation. All I know is it was awesome. :(
I hope someone remembers this fic; I went through all my bookmarks and everything. The worst thing is I think I even downloaded it, but I have such a massive collection of fic I'll never be able to find it without help.
