Age of Consent

I thought I was clear, but I guess not, so I apologize. This meme does not allow under 16 prompts. 16 is the most common age in the show, and it would be hard to have a meme otherwise. But we do not allow ages below 16 in prompts. We don't want to get TOS'd. For the purposes of this meme, 15 us chan/shota/hardcore underage.

There have been some chan/shota/hardcore underage prompts, which is against our rules. Graphically written underage sex, whether it be consensual or not, is not allowed in this meme as per livejournal's TOS. References to underage abuse or "consensual" sex is allowed as long as not explicitly written or drawn.

16 (sixteen), the age at which most people on the show are presented as, is underage in California. Yes, the general age is 16 across the United States, but it differs from state to state. Given that Teen Wolf is set in California, we'll go with their laws.

Source at Age of Consent has the relevant part of this law, but for ease here it is:

261.5. (a) Unlawful sexual intercourse is an act of sexual
intercourse accomplished with a person who is not the spouse of the
perpetrator, if the person is a minor.

For the purposes of this section, a "minor" is a person
under the age of 18 years and an "adult" is a person
who is at least 18 years of age.

(b) Any person who engages in an act of unlawful sexual
intercourse with a minor who is not more than three years
older or three years younger than the perpetrator, is
guilty of a misdemeanor.

This is why we feel that 16 is young enough, and this is why severe underage prompts will be deleted. Thanks to the anons who have let us know about these prompts. For further reading check out Wikipedia, because they have every state, every age, and links to laws in question. This mod suggests state-hopping fic to avoid the technicalities of 16-underage consent issues.
