Pairings you will beta: I will pretty much beta anything. I've betaed for a long time. I've betaed stuff that's not even in my fandom.
Pairings you will NOT beta: None. I'll probably be more enthusiastic on some pairings than others, but so far I'm not really sure what those are yet.
Warnings/kinks you will NOT beta: I'm not a huge fan of cancer/deathly illness fic, or a lot of humiliation, but I can deal if you can't find anyone else.
Length of fics you are able to beta: Any, as long as I have the appropriate time to do it.
What you focus on when you beta: Grammar, American Picking, word choice, sentence structure, tone, plot, how quickly it took me to figure out what the big reveal was, character, believability, etc.
Sometimes we need a beta who won't hold any punches. Are you willing to be tough and break a fic apart if asked, : Sure.
Other languages you'd be able to beta in: I fail at languages other than English. Unless you're writing a fic in Pig Latin.
How long a 5000 word fic typically takes you:I can usually beta a 5000 word fic in a few hours if I have a few hours to spare.
Any additional information: I'm pretty good at American Picking because my years in the HP fandom have made me sensitive to Britishisms. If you have kidfic, I can definitely help you with that, because I live with three kids and I worked at a kids' shoe store for three years. I'm also a pretty huge fan of witty dialogue. And fact checking. And I'm definitely available to talk through a plot if you're still trying to work it out.
Note: I'm currently out of commission as far as beta-ing goes until school starts back. I'm baby-sitting 10 hours a day all summer.
