Yeah, so... bit underwhelmed by this one. A lot happened, but then nothing really happened. And I wish the Sam/Alcide/Debbie thing had just been intergrated in the main storyline, because it so easily could have been. The back and forth was jarring.
First things first: yes, Pam tried to kill Sookie, kind of... But... Eric... she was just trying to save you. And she's kind of... desperate and unstable at the moment, on account of the whole body-rotting-from-the-inside thing. And she's still adjusting to the fact that you love Sookie, which in her world must be kind of weird, considering all that you have taught her about humans. You could say you only have yourself to blame for this.
Don't break up. Please. (In other words - so not cool about this development. In some ways it's been coming for a while, but in other ways, it was abrupt)
Eric and Bill are getting along a little too well, aren't they? Eric's voluntarily calling him "your majesty" all of a sudden? What's that all about?! Where's the snark? It's like he's too exhausted to even bother. He seems a bit fed up with things in general (as evidenced by that hilarious "fucking Sookie" scene). I suppose I can't blame him. He's finally opened himself to loving her and she's holding back because of Bill Compton, the vocally self-righteous, hypocritcal mainstreaming douchebag who also happens to be his king now. It's like he's just given into it all.
Eric ripping Roy's heart out and sipping through his artery like a straw was badass, but also gross, and while kind of justifyable (in Eric's world) I had mixed feelings about it - because it was so obviously done just to give Sookie something to balk at. I'm pissed we're not getting the real aftermath of Sookie and Eric's relationship because the Bill thing had to crop up again. Can't they have their own storyline for a little while? Eric's role has been reduced to that of Sookie love interest in a way I'm not sure I'm going to like much longer.
Though I did flail when he offered to die for Sookie without thinking about it. That's what I want more of.
In the end, this triangle is getting to be like Dawson/Joey/Pacey levels of ANNOYING. No, no, Jack/Kate/Sawyer levels annoying. I DO NOT WANT IT TO BE THAT ANNOYING. Sookie was particularly wishy-washy this week, joining the circle even though Marnie's intentions were so transparent you could shine a light through them; not reacting when Eric/Bill/Jason were nearly blown to kingdom come; staring woefully between Eric and Bill at the end there. YOU HAVE FREE WILL, SOOKIE. DO SOMETHING WITH IT.
Jessica was hilariously me-me-me about most of the battle. Jason is also lovely and the two of them together are sappy angsty goodness, though their theme music is a bit overkill.
I have started to like Jesus over the last few weeks, so I was pleased when he saved the day (though at what cost?)
OH HEY AND THE FUCKING FAIRIES ARE BACK. YEAH, THAT HAPPENED.
