Oh wow! I really enjoyed that. I've been looking fics that explore Marian's headspace during her captivity. and your's is fantastic!! I would have liked to seem more scenes like that in the episode. Imagine how awkward that trip was stuck in a carriage for that long. I look forward to reading more stuff from you =)

Thank you so much! I feel like there's the potential for so much to have happened, in that time between episodes we didn't witness. It feels like their relationship shifted due to something unseen. Thanks for reading ;)

That's what I imagined was happening along the trip, as we KNOW it couldn't really have taken them a day or two to get to the Holy Land, even by ship. Really nicely written- I enjoyed this a lot! ^^

Thank you! I feel like so much could have happened, during that time. Her hope in him certainly would have detoriated, if she was a prisoner for so long.

Yes! I think being a prisoner for some time might have made Marian a little loopy and do crazy things like standing unarmed in front of a guy holding a sword;)

Thank you so much for writing this -- I feel like it was everything we should have seen in the finale but never got. Bridging the gap between the two episodes makes their disconnect seem a lot less abrupt.

Oh thank you for reading ;) I feel like there was some sort of shift between them, when the second episode started. She must have been a prisoner for a long time, it certainly would have contributed to her fraught behaviour and his emotional removal.

Ohh, my heart. This is beautiful and so right, to the point where it hurts a little to read it. I love the way you've got Marian here -- the sting of her disappointment in him, and her anger with herself for ever having faith in him to begin with. Just absolutely beautiful; I really wish we could have had a scene like this in the episode.

I feel like something must have happened in that time in between - just one small conversation even, to lead to their disconnection from one another. There was so much more tension in the second episode. Oh and I have admit that awesome analysis you wrote really helped a lot in terms of figuring out their headspace (ha, I made my sister read it before watching the episode, it helped, she claims ;) )
