Still processing
My aunt died today. She was barely 61 (as in she JUST turned 61) She was full of interesting life and the things she had opinions about she would stop at nothing to make sure everyone saw things her way. It's hard to believe she died.
She died by burns caused by the combo of grease fire and a gas stove exploding. This morning the Doctors told the family there was nothing else they could do for aunt Shirley her vitals had not stabilized to where she could go through an operation to save her life and there were too many burns and they were too severe. I don't know what to say and am still processing the news. Part of me says that it's better this way and that She isn't hurting anymore and she's with Gramps. Part of me just is crushed as she was still working still so strong. Still so busy doing everything for everyone.
Today I am thankful for my chosen family and their love and support as well as wanting to cuddle the blood family in my arms. Rough couple days. :(
