You all seemed to appreciate the Nietzsche I posted a while back, so I'd like to take a moment and share some words from my favorite idealist of all time, and probably the second most quotable guy ever: Josef Stalin. While not really the most compassionate statesman in the world, the guy knew his shit... I would like you all to take a moment and forget about the questionable collectivist policies and the whole 65 million dead thing and reflect on Stalin the man. This is important to me because id say him and I share a good solid third of my political ideology.
"The Pope? How many divisions has he got?"
"A sincere diplomat is like dry water or wooden iron."
"It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything."
"If any foreign minister begins to defend to the death a "peace conference," you can be sure his government has already placed its orders for new battleships and airplanes."
"Ideas are far more powerful than guns. We don't allow our enemies to have guns, why should we allow them to have ideas?"
"Everyone imposes his own system as far as his army can reach."
"One death is a tragedy; a million is a statistic."
"Gratitude is a sickness suffered by dogs."
"When we hang the capitalists they will sell us the rope we use."
"You cannot make a revolution with silk gloves."
"The only real power comes out of a long rifle."
"Death solves all problems - no man, no problem."
