Had my baby.

I was supposed to wait until monday to be induced but after going for a routine CTG scan on thursday the nurse noticed i was having regular contractions 5 minutes apart. They werent really all that painful so I didnt notice them much.
She decided that she should check on my blood pressure. I can't quite remember what it was but it was high. At that point she looked at me and said... "You're not going home". So after settling into my room my doctor came to see me and told me because of my high blood pressure he'd be inducing me the next morning because he didnt want to take any chances. Obviously this came as a huge shock to me but i was excited all the same. The night went soooo slow and by 6 o'clock the next morning i was awake, showered and dressed ready to be taken to the birthing suite. This didnt end up happening until 8am because there were a few emergencies during that time. My doctor came in at 10:45 after already delivering 2 babies for the morning and broke my water. (Which may i add was absolutely GROSS.) Richard found it quite fascinating. Once my water was broken i was given the IV fluids to make the contractions come regularly and maaaaaaann did they come hard and fast!! I laboured drug free for almost 2 hours but by 12:30pm i was BEGGING for the epidural. After the epidural everything settled down. It was a godsend! by 2:15 i was feeling the urge the urge to push but was told just to breathe through it as at this point i was only 4cm dilated and supposedly had "hours" left. An hour passed of unbearable pressure and the urge to push and by this point i was telling the midwife that my baby was coming NOW. My doc decided he should check and dun dun dun, 10cm dilated!!! Finally i was allowed to push. After 25 minutes of pushing, DR Kell decided to cut me in order to get the suction cup in to suction bubby out because her heart rate kept dropping and they needed her out then and there. At 3:45pm on the 4th of November she was born. 6lbs 9oz and 46 cm in length. Childbirth really is an amazing experiance. Nothing can describe the emotions i felt when they put that baby on my chest. It was a truely precious moment.
