blood-sucker.

I've noticed a trend. Imagine that. It really took off with the Twilight series but I don't believe that's where it began. I think that I was drawn to Twilight because of this trend in my life, and that book simply acted as a catalyst. I've always been fascinated with the concept of vampires. It's not necessarily that I like the thought, it's just that I'm drawn to it. First there was Twilight (all four books), then I bought Dracula and Interview with a Vampire. I proceeded to rent the movie Interview with a Vampire, 30 Days of Night, Underworld, and Ultraviolet. I really want to read the 30 Days of Night books (are they graphic novels or just regular novels? idk.). And now, I've recently discovered a television show that airs on HBO that is so much like Twilight but different, and in some ways better. It's called True Blood and it's about a vampire man that falls in love with a mortal girl. Typical. She can read minds though, so she isn't like others, but she can't read his mind for some reason (Twilight alert, Twilight alert - even though these books came out before Twilight did... hmmm... I wonder if Stephenie Meyer read them...). I asked for the box set of the first season for my birthday. The second season starts this fall but, there's no way for me to see it. I don't have HBO. I want to read the books but I'm scared that they might hinder my interest in the show. Weird right? Something I've been thinking about, how different are vampires and zombies? Except zombies straight up eat people and vampire just drink their blood. Vampires also have some sense about them, and zombies are... to put it lightly... wild, unpredictable and dumb to everything but their impulses. I mean, I love zombie movies too. I have 28 Days/Weeks Later, Dawn of the Dead, Land of the Dead and I loved Resident Evil.

I'm amused at the fact that I'm even writing this. ha.
