"Our dearest Leslie decided to break up with her keys after a severe argument in regards to the keys' past relations to the pressure gauge. Actually she wanted the excuse to hang out with the Hott Campus Security guys and not only did she get her wish, but she even got to pay for a good time with the Pop-A-Lock guy." -TGS109
Funny how different people have different perceptions of the same event. Leslie would never need to break up with her keys regarding past relations, because she never would have picked out those keys until she had a thorough understanding of all things relating to the keys, past and present. More likely, Leslie, out of concern for her keys was keeping them safely protected from the ever corosive elements. When said keys, taking advantage of her hospitality, refused to return in a timely manner, Leslie called on Campus Security to appeal to the keys' sense of duty and responsibility toward the task at hand. When negotiations failed, Leslie in an attempt to fuel the blue collar job market, benevolently donated her resources to the "pop-a-lock guy" who, in turn, skillfully coerced her keys into compliance.
But that was merely my perception. Much more fitting to her true character, don't you think?
