Once again, its been awhile since I did a true update. There really isn't much to report except HARRY POTTER!!! Yes I am a true Harry Potter nerd and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I'm going to break down my thoughts here because there was so much I loved, yet hated at the same time. I've read the book through two times already and it hasn't even been a week since it was out.

Overall all I can say is oh my goodness. I totally did not see the ending coming. I was sure that Harry was going to die. I guess in a sense, I was right but I didn't see him coming back. I also didn't think he would be a horcrux, primarily because I assumed it was something Voldemort would have known to happen which meant he wouldn't have kept trying to kill him every chance he had. I also was devastated at all the deaths that occurred in the book. She killed one of my favorite characters: FRED!!!! I love the twins. How could she rip them apart. She should have taken Percy. We don't care about him. Though I did find it touching that he did come back and threw his body on top of Fred. Also, why must she put Teddy Lupin through the same exact thing Harry went through. Was it truly necessary to kill Remus and Tonks?? That irritated me. I was shocked to see the side of Snape that was shown. I kind of had a feeling it would be along those lines but didn't truly think my hunch was right. And I can't go without saying I bawled when Dobby died. Yes the annoying elf that dropped a cake at Harry's aunt and uncle. He was Harry's man through and through. And I LOVED the duel between Bellatrix and Mrs. Weasley. "Not my daughter you bitch!" or something along those lines. My favorite, yet saddest parts of the book were when Harry went to Godric's Hollow and saw the statue dedicated to his family, the house preserved as it had been, and seeing their gravestones. That was just a totally human part of Harry that made him more real than I had ever seen. I also bawled right before he went to give himself up to Voldemort. The fact that his parents, Sirius (another favorite character) and Lupin were there to give him strength was amazing. I love how she described him numbering his heartbeats and such. Phenomenal. Also, the fact that Harry's parents were born in 1960 and died in 1981 was a little weird to me. The characters in the movie sure aren't 21. I know that prior books never mentioned their age so they couldn't portray it accurately but still. That's awfully young. That would mean in this book it was 1997. That just seems odd to me. I'm sure JK has her reasonings but still. The role that Ron, Hermione, Luna, and Neville played was amazing as well. I loved when Hermione attacked Ron in the room of requirements for his statement on House Elves. It was like about damn time. Also when Luna was trying to get Harry to think a happy thought for the Patronus. I loved it. I assumed Neville would have a big role in the final book. It wasn't as big as I had expected but still. He was brave enough to pull the sword from the hat and finish Nagini. Excellent.  Finally, Dumbledore. I never would have guessed his prior history, nor that Aberforth would play such a role in the book. I'm glad that in the end, all was laid on the table about him. It didn't leave a tarnish on his memory.

I know all of you are thinking "what a weirdo". But hey, I've read a lot, but nothing has ever grabbed my attention as much as the Harry Potter books. I can read them over and over again and never get tired. They are classics that are sure to remain that way for a long long time. Rock on Harry!
