BACK FROM NARNIA, LOLZ.

Holy shit. I can't believe I haven't posted since summer.

- The trip to DC/Baltimore to see my South African loves was so, so much fun. Civil Twilight was amazing, as usual, and causin' a ruckus with my Partner In Crime, Liza, is always good times. Also, going to the Inner Harbor for the first time since I was 5 was excellent. Unfortunately I didn't get to go to the aquarium, but next time! I also finally rode in a taxi for the first time ever in Baltimore. Oh, and I officially hate navigating DC. I say this every time I'm there but THIS TIME I MEAN IT.

- Spent a lot of time in RVA. Of course. Why do I not live there yet (YET)? Made a ton of new friends and became better aquainted with people I've known for years but never talked to that much. Also went to my very first Best Friends Day, which was every bit as ridiculous and crazy as I expected it to be and then some. Stoked for BFD 9!

- Also spent a good amount of time with the Harbours crew in Bad News. Many, many nights of drunk Rock Band-ing.

- Went to Virgin Mobile FreeFest with Liza to see my other loves, the Bravery, for the first time in over a year. Heard a bunch of their new songs and took pride in being the only two people in the audience who knew the words already, haha. Met two girls who also do the "Stop, Drop, and Roll" dance to "Public Service Announcement". Also caught Girl Talk and danced our asses off - next time he comes around, we are totally going to try to get on stage! Ended the night with Franz Ferdinand, and caught Alex's attention with Liza's "Kiss Me Katherine" sign. Oh, and I GOT A BEER FROM FLAVOR FUCKING FLAV.

- Finally decided to bite the bullet and enrolled myself in cosmetology school. It's something I've always been interested, I was even going to take it in high school but I was always kind of steered away from it. Like it was always something the "trashy" girls did, but I realize now that I was wrong to think so. And I always pushed by EVERYONE to go the artistic route, which is how I ended up with a degree in photography that has, so far, not really gotten me anywhere. I actually really love what I'm doing, even though it's so much harder than I ever thought it would be, but right now I'm a little less than enthused about school itself - it really isn't living up to my expectations, and there are so many things there I'm frustrated about that make me want to leave. I'm looking to transfer my hours elsewhere, hopefully somewhere that isn't such a hellhole...

- Saw Civil Twilight again in Baltimore in September. Lovelovelovelovelove. Had a very, very surreal experience while talking to Rich. Good surreal, though.

- Shot a gun for the first time. Thrilling.

- Saw the Bravery twice in October, which brings my count to 24. The first night, in DC, was a (drunk) last minute decision - I was supposed to meet up with Liza, who had gone to the show in Philly the night before with our friend Wendy, and called me from the afterparty and convinced me (who was drunk at the time) to go. She was on her way home but her train...kind of hit a person. So she um, didn't make it. I was all by my lonesome which was a little weird, but their tour manager guestlisted me and gave me a wristband to hang out after the show. I actually talked to Sam's mother quite a bit, she actually remembers me because at one of their first DC shows I gave Sam a drawing of him, which she saw and was ooh-ing and ahh-ing over, and has always said hi to me at every show since. She actually remembered my name, and said she used to read their official board and always thought I was so funny. Rad. I didn't talk to the boys too much because I was in the middle over getting over/getting another cold and didn't want to infect them. Went to the afterparty and saw one of many of Mike's side projects, No Lover. Two days later they were in Norfolk, and I met up with the Wyld Stallyons for STALLYONCON!!! at that show and we had an absolute BLAST. Rocking out with the girls made the show 1000x more fun. We talked to the guys after the show and got a massive group picture. When the NorVa staff kicked us all out it was still early and none of us wanted to call it a night, so we decided to head over to Hell's Kitchen. Mike appeared out of nowhere when I was telling everyone how to get there (I was the only native Virginian in the group, everyone else had come from out of state for the show) - he asked me if I knew where the good bars were, so I told him where we were heading and how to get there. When we got up there we ran into the Dustys, one of the opening bands, who came to join us. Got another huge group picture. Later Mike showed up, along with Sam, Keith the tour manager, and Hugo, one of their techs. We were all having so much fun ourselves we hardly noticed they showed up. And even though we had just been hanging out with the band, we mostly gave them their space. I talked to Sam a bit, but after the whole North Carolina debacle last year I'm just now sure how to read him anymore...

- MY SISTER MOVED BACK TO VIRGINIA!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

- Got to see my pals from 1997 again. Had an amazing time hanging out with them. Love them...even though they are on an indefinate hiatus. :{

- Quit Charlotte Russe once and for all, went back to BFC, and quit there once and for all. Now work in a salon as an assistant/SHOP BITCH.

- Turned 25.

- FUCKING SNOW. I NEVER WANT TO SEE SNOW EVER AGAIN.

- Got two more tattoos.

- Um. Yeah. Pretty much it.
