What was the first song you ever heard by 6? (Cobra Starship)
Whatever they opened with when I saw them supporting Fall Out Boy. I'd never heard of them before then. Incidentally, my two strongest memories from that show are a random member of the audience coming onstage to do the rap in Bring It (Snakes on a Plane), and Ryland drinking glowstick juice.
What is your favorite song by 8? (My Chemical Romance)
Mmm, difficult. I love Famous Last Words because it's so forceful and the video is excellent, so I'll go for that. In cast you haven't seen it (where have you been?):

What kind of impact has 1 left on your life? (Empires)
Very little. I only like them on the internet! By which I mean, nobody I know in real life has even heard of them, so I have no shared experiences, and I only ever listen to them on a computer because I've never burned their album to CD, so I don't have any this-song-was-playing-when memories. I think I should change this.
What is your favorite lyric of 5? (Franz Ferdinand)
Oh Alex Kapranos, you little genius you. First ones that come to mind are my favourite bit from Bite Hard:
May be lonelier now
But I'm happy alone, honest
Ain't lonely alone
What would we talk about anyway?
I'd never resort
To kissing your photo, honest
I just had to see
How the chemicals taste now honey
How many times have you seen 4 live? (Weird Al)
None. Does he do live shows? What are they like? I'm ignorant in this regard.
What is your favorite song by 7? (Muse)
Time is Running Out. I remember to this day the life-changing moment when
optional_joy sent me the video over MSN and I sceptically opened it, oblivious to the beauty I was about to witness. Or something.
Is there any song by 3 that makes you sad? (Panic)
I haven't listened to all their stuff since they split in half, but I imagine if I were in the right mood the sound of Brendon and Ryan harmonising might hit me as tragic irony, if nothing else.
What is your favorite song by 9? (Fall Out Boy)
Champagne for My Real Friends, Real Pain for My Sham Friends. Lyricssss.
When did you first get into 2? (Tim Minchin)
Do you know, I honestly can't remember. Was it before Mark Watson Makes the World Substantially Better? I think it was, but I'm not sure. That cemented it, anyway.
How did you get into 3? (Panic)
The internetz, though I can't be more specific than that. My copy of A Fever You Can't Sweat Out came from the US because you couldn't get it over here, which gives you some idea of how long ago that was.
What is your favorite song by 4? (Weird Al)
Um. White and Nerdy? No -- eBay. Lyrics of win. Allow me to demonstrate:

How many times have you seen 9 live? (Fall Out Boy)
Once. Pete annoyed me so fucking much, and my friend wasn't having a good time, and amid all that I don't actually remember whether they played well or otherwise. I remember liking Andy, though. (I approve of bare-chested and/or bare-footed drummers.)
What is a good memory concerning 2? (Tim Minchin)
LIVE IN EDINBURGH HELL YES. I remember loling forever at the "Hamlet she's just misquoth'd" line in Storm.
Is there a song by 8 that makes you sad? (My Chemical Romance)
I have cried because of the Ghost of You video/song combination. Actually I think Ghost of You might be second to Famous Last Words in my favourite MCR songs. And because this post (indeed, any post) can always do with MOAR MCR, I would link you to the video or embed it or whatever, but there are no good-quality versions on the interwebz. "What is this?" I ask disgustedly. I am outraged.
What is your favorite song of 1? (Empires)
Oh god, I love them all so much. A tie between Spit the Dark (as I've said before, I like people telling me reassuring things through the medium of song -- I like "I will guide you in the night") and Midnight Land (so catchy!)
How did you become a fan of 10? (Green Day)
When American Idiot came out. I was 12 and it was everywhere and I loved it a hell of a lot.
