OK,well I`ve been listening to the American Idiot CD a lot lately.I`ve come to this conclusion on the 3 characters;Jesus of Suburbia (JOS),St. Jimmy,and Whatsername (She`s a Rebel)
Jesus of Suburbia;
The son of rage and love.JOS is a guy who wants to get the fuck out of the city.He`s fed up with all the bullshit.He`s the kind of guy who gets fucked up by the jocks and rejected by all the girls.He just wants to get away.So he walks away from it all.He leaves his home,his family,and his old life behind.He walks the streets for hours and hours just trying to find where he belongs.On his way to a new life,he meets a guy.A guy by the name of St. Jimmy.St. Jimmy is a regular badass.He,too,has a troubled life but he keeps that behind doors.He doesn`t tell JOS about his struggles.He comes off as a real jerk....
St. Jimmy;
St. Jimmy has a bad life.He hates his family,and he puts on an act for everyone else.He knows that there is someone inside of him who is not who everyone thinks he really is.But he wants to let JOS know that he runs things.JOS follows him and finds him as a role model.But St. Jimmy wants to let JOS know he`s not a 'role model'.He leads JOS through the streets of hell and eventually meets Whatsername...
Whatsername;
What a rebel we have here!Whatsername really doesn`t give a shit about anyone but herself.That is,until she meets Jimmy.She has fallen deeply in love with Jimmy,but she has a hard way of showing it.She ignores him and rejects him.But when the feelings can`t stay in anymore,Whatsername confesses her undying love for Jimmy.She feels she can`t live without him........
So,now,St. Jimmy must choose.
Does he want to continue the path of discovery with Jesus of Suburbia?
Or does he want to stay behind with Whatsername and love her until he dies?
((oh yeah,this is just what I think.))
