My god this country has some ugly clothes within it.
Dad and I went to Poole to try and find a hairdresser. We failed at this task, as well as the task of finding me something to wear on my bottom half tomorrow, so that I don't embarrass myself in front of Alan Brown; the epitome of class and sophistication.
I did, however, succeed in cashing in on Christmas savings at Thorntons; three big chocolate lollipops for a pound. i bought six, and out of the goodness of my heart gave one of them to Wiggins.
We went to Salisbury yesterday, and managed to find some nice clothes for Jones (he can now claim that he owns a whole two pairs of pants, and school shoes that fit his ever-growing feet), and Wiggins got himself an MP3 player (a nice Creative - he's always liked those). We also went to Salisbury Cathedral, a truly magnificent piece of 750-year-old British architecture, I begrudgingly admit. As uncomfortable as I find cathedrals, it was nice to walk around, and to get in touch with my more religious side. We saw one of the four original prints of the Magna Carta there, and I think Wiggins enjoyed the final stop; the gift shop. Pathetic.
As for Christmas day, well, that was fun in a low-key kind of way (which is how I prefer my fun in many respects). I got guitar hero and thoroughly killed my wrists playing it until well into the next morning. I'd be playing it right now if Christopher hadn't broken our TV and the new one could handle the wii. I also got a few notebooks, pens, books, and a little photo frame that's charging right now. Christopher got this really nice Poker set, and he spent the morning teaching me how to play Poker, which I then promptly won before lunch (Turkey and veg. really nice). Teehee.
Tomorrow's going to be fun. Apparantly we have to go past Oxford to get to Alan's place, so we have to leave at, like, 9 in the morning. Considering how I woke up at 1:30 this afternoon, this will be interesting. garrhhh. Anyway, since it's with Alan, a day of niceties looms ahead. Shame mum isn't here. It's her birthday tomorrow.
Now I'm watching an Emma Watson interview on the Wayne Brady show. It's a strange experience - someone who has no talent combined with someone who has lots... better continue.
