OK, I srsly hate getting weird dreams about people.
Well, not all people. Just my lecturers.
So basically in my sounds of english workshops i have (had, since that module's over now) two lecturers; Andrew and Gareth. Andrew is the posh-british, incredibly handsome, distinguished suit-wearing gentleman who tells terribly lame jokes that perfectly suit his accent. I mentioned him in the last entry. Gareth is the Geordie family-type; one of those blokes who looks really casual and family-man-ish but you can tell must be brilliant because he has a doctorate. I like them both a lot in their own ways. Gareth's also my tutor.
So, the dream was about Gareth, and no, it wasn't seedy or anything; just weird. He was driving a car, and I was in the passenger seat. In the back were a few other people from my workshop group. Later on the car seemed to broaden, because there were some older women in there, then some children of mostly african descent whose favour i won by saying that i found african people gorgeous. Really, Gareth's involvement was minimal.
But, as Anna would say, I'm well annoyed. Dreams are out of anyone's control, but I consider my dream world to be a very private one, so having somebody who I really don't want to be a part of that world, being in that world, is disconcerting, and I'm worried that since he's been put in there it'll be like Mr Payne all over again.
Anyway, in other news, had dinner with Japanese teachers tonight at Wagamama. It was really good. Three of the teachers asked me if I was going back to Australia, which was nice of them. I found out that Ishiwata sensei and Arai sensei have been working there for two years (this is their third) and Ishiwata sensei likes video games. Arai sensei emphasised her love of cats. Anna and James were sitting with Kittaka sensei, who asked Anna who her friends were (we agreed that the teachers are deadly curious about this type of stuff - they adored finding out that Rosie and Jason are boyfriend and girlfriend) and Anna said "oh, well, I don't have many, but I have James, and Gillian..." and sensei said "Huh? Gillian's your friend??"
:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:| - because whenever i'm not spending time with anna, i'm spending it with carolin, and i don't spend that much time with carolin!
Anna also told me that it was really nice practicing Japanese with the teachers, and I told her that yeah, practice is always good, and the more she does it the better she'll get. she's better than she realises, but being my friend puts her off a lot. Hopefully she'll get a bit more confident as our degree goes on.
Right, that's all for today. I swear at some point I'll actually post something interesting. Until that time, cheers for reading my random rants.
