Odd...
I had a very strange dream during my nap... It was about me and Archer, but different. Like some wild AU of us. Really wild. Archer was Heir Apparent to the throne of the High Elves, and King by marriage to me of the most powerful human Kingdom. From the background knowledge I had, apparently he married me when I was still just Princess... But really, Princess? Me? And then QUEEN? Really wild AU. We were being invaded, by... I think it was a mix of Drow and humans, oddly. The leader was a human, one with magic. Which, unfortunately, included teleportation. One of his lackies gave us a spell to block that sort of thing, as well as some other magics... It turned out to be more a magical invisibility than a wall. I think he hoped for the testing and working out of the spell to distract us long enough for them to gain an insurmountable advantage.
Ha. Shows what he knew. We didn't pull our people off defense to work on it, we did it ourselves, testing at a minor border outpost away from the fighting. And it worked, in the magical/psychic invisibility manner I mentioned. I'm not really sure how things turned out, since I woke up not long after that...
