The Not Really Resolutions for the New Year
For the most part I dislike New Year's resolutions. I never seem to follow them. It's like moth-infested flour. You may be able to make a cake or two or seven with them, but inevitably they are too many and the stuff gets thrown out. One person I know referred to me as stubborn. Thus when I was faced with the conventional path, I'd do the exact opposite of what it required; even if said path was one I mapped out for myself. So this time around I'm not going to think of them as resolutions instead treating them as things I'd merely like to do and if they happen that's awesome. and if not I'll deal.
Therefore I present the Things:
1. Get rid shelf space - I adore my books but its getting ridiculous when I've two MASSIVE book shelves and not a little bit of space. It's time I get rid of some of them. Probably I'll keep get rid of the ones I'm lukewarm towards and am fairly sure I can find in a library. Maybe some of my comic collection as well as if takes up an eighth of my floor space.
2. More artsy stuff - Take art classes or possibly join a theatre sport group. I'm a self-taught artist at this point and there is a massive amount to learn. And theatre sports is awesome for meeting people and relieving stress.
3. Save money - Less eating out. It's not good for me anyway. Ideally I'd like a job that I can actually live on and so I need to save up for school.
4. Try not to murder family - Doesn't matter if they occasionally deserve it or how embarrassing they are. It's hard to save money in prison.
5. Spend more time with friends - They deserve to be appreciated. Good people are to find.
6. Find girl/boyfriend - The right person is even harder. Preferably geek who is somewhat saner than me.
6. Write Plot Bunny of Doom - Yes, it's scary. Yes, the longest fic I've ever written is 27K and this threatens to easily dwarf that. I'm frankly terrified I'll never finish it. But... this AU FFVII idea keeps on popping up everywhere I go. I'll never know if it will work unless I try right?
