Souls Bonded Through Suffering
Dan Cutler and Geoffry Cromwell grew up together in Des Moines. as boys they spent many days skipping school, exploring their surroundings, and experimenting with drugs. As they grew older they grew closer. Dan and Geof became brothers amidst hallusination and contraversy. Their love for each other is solid and indisputable.
Lisa was an illegal mexican immagrant until the age of 13 when she was adopted. Elizabeth was homeschooled for much of her adolecents and this is how the two met. lisa and Liz both having hecktic home lives saved each other from insanity and possibly death. lisa moved in with liz for a short time and as long as they spent together, their short lived physical relationship, and as many fights as they had, their love for one another never ceased to be.
Shelby and I were both on either side of sheena for most of high school. when sheena left we both bonded and became noted human rights activists together. our stories although different, meshed together to give people a panoramic picture of the condition of life homosexuals had to live in high school. we spent almost every free hour together and knew more about each other then about ourselves.
last year a firestorm of convergance happened as these three groups of friends met and intertwined. our stories felt real and familiar and we all became close. whether it was fear of being loved and accepted or of something completely different, we will never know. Geffory Cromwell, without notice left for california to start a new life. Shelby sick of her living situation and new found relationship with a person of the oppisite gender sent her to live in omaha. Lisa Franzenburg within a downward spirlaing sinkhole of relationships and substance abuse left for omaha as well. all to start over with new lives and new experiances.
this left Dan, Liz, and i standing in the dust wondering what the fuck just happened. We had all three lost our best friends in a matter of weeks to the same thing.
in the same order that they disappeared, they all returned for a breif appearence. Geof called dan for several days in a row. then shelby came into town to visit. then lisa did the same.
Now that they are all gone again and life is back to normal i think to myself. they arnt happy where they are. they had something real and they chose to run away from it because they couldnt handle it. that is their fault. not mine, not dan's, not liz's. theirs. now we have all moved on but retain a small place in our hearts for the three of them. but it will never be the way it was. and its for the best.
