As The Chad ducked into QFC, I sat in my car waiting as Radiohead unfolded. Tonight is warm and deep orange atop the black backdrop. The kind of night that capsulates different interactions all around. The homeless guy talking and moving to the rhythm of Karma Police as two matching silver bullet bikes creeped on by. At a moments glance, The Chad was back in route to the car, and it was time to head home.
Fall by far has got to be my favorite time of year. Summer puts too much focus on being outside; gassing up an RV, camping with toilets and stoves, wakeboarding among Bellevuians, and blah blah blah.
Fall offers the opportunity to sneak in a memorable hike, picturesque; walk along empty areas wiping your nose to make sure it isn't flowing then realising your nose is numb. It's the time of year where people appear to be speeding up in motion while the drop of a leaf takes days to sink in. It's always a good time to just relax and enojy life as it comes.
Fall always reminds me of my English 105 class where my morbid and decreped old professor took our classes' brains on strange ride. Fall is always the time when my brain wonders in all the right places and intellect is of greater value to me.
_______
Completely off that subject, I found a way to break away from the typical bogged down road raging traffic jam I encounter on a daily basis. By taking the W509 to/over the Alaskan Way Viadact home, my brain wonders and relaxes as I weave at an elevated level through the heart of Seattle, gliding past all the Port Yards and high rises. It's pretty relaxing for a car ride.
_______
Work is going pretty good. With my new assignment, projects never become old/routine/mundane. It's totally different on a daily basis. I'm learning a lot, and enjoying actual work. I still work the seafood gig on sundays. I don't know if it's the extra cash and cheap exotic seafood, or maybe in some strange way, I just like the work. Maybe I actually like being a fish monger, handling caviar, sea urchin, ahi, ono, opah, calamari, live lobster, a hodge podge of bottom fish, and a million other kinds of seafood.
_______
As Fall continues to bring a calm season of inward thinking; now is such a great time to look at everything and continue to grow.
