school has been fun, etc etc...
My manager says I am one of her best trainees, I was offered morning shifts working the ovens (basicly putting chickens on spits, making pot pies and stoking fires) I gladly accepted. I've learned most of what I have to learn there... only have a few minor details left, after that I'll be opening every second weekend (alternating weekends with another guy)
I went to a cooking demonstration thingie today, the theme was apples. The fact that I was a culinary arts student was mentioned before class so the two chefs wanted to meet me afterwards... Both chefs (in their mid 20s I would say) know all of my chefs at school. I was offered a job at the Delta by the Sous Chef, I told him that I would love to do at least my co-op placement there, he said drop off a resume any time. I'll have to go to 10 dollar cooking shows more often, good food and job offers a plenty
Still making lots of friends. I've met more people over a glass of draft in the last 3 weeks then I thought humanly possible...
