This is written after Christmas, so the memory grows somewhat hazy, but did want to put in a post about Thanksgiving, which turned out perfectly. Everyone loved the grand unveil of the new look to the dining room, and despite all of our concerns, politics was not much mentioned during the day, although I did have to caution my father not to make any snide comments about that asshole Trump when giving the family blessing. He came through, although I am sure it wasn't easy.
All things considered, this has actually been a very nice, relaxed holiday season. And in keeping with my desire to keep this day as carefree as possible, that's all I am going to write about Thanksgiving!
