Its election day, and I'm just praying away that Bush is still president at the end of the day. I went to see Mr. Thompson today, and he asked who I voted for, and I said Bush, and he said that his vote is going to cancel mine, so then I said I voted for Pete Coors, and he was like, yeah, diddo on the canceling you, and then he was like "Did you vote for Matsunaka?" and I was like, "Um, lets just say we'll cancel each other again." I said "yeah, I voted pretty much straight Republican," and he was like, "Ted, what the heck. Don't you have a mind of your own?" And I was like, "Yeah. Its Republican." Oh well. Mr. Thompson is still one of my favorite teachers, even though he is flawed in his voting tactics. I was depressing seeing so many Kerry shirts, but then I talked to Mrs. peck, and she's voting for bush, of course, and then I saw Matt Myers, and he was wearing an anti-kerry shirt, so I was like rock-on, and then I saw Maura, and of course she had her Bush stuff on, so that made me happy to know that at least I'm not the only Republican I know. I've noticed that even though there has been a lot of negativity between the two parties, there is more Anti-Bush stuff on the part of the Democrats than Pro-Kerry stuff. Likewise, there's more Pro-Bush stuff than anti-Kerry. I thought that was important to notice, because quite frankly, Kerry does not deserve to be President any more than Bush. People just don't like Bush, so they just want to get rid of him, and I think that's stupid. I can't stand people who say "Bush is not my president," because he is. Even if Kerry becomes president, which I hope he doesn't, at least this year, but I will still support him just because he is the president. I'm not going to disown him. Some people. I like how I'm just rambling here about politics. I don't usually do this, but its election day, and I have nothing better to do than this. (well, maybe my homework that is well overdue.)
ok, back to me not liking Kerry. To the people that don't like the war in Iraq, I don't like it either. But Kerry voted for it too, so he has no argument over Bush about that. All I know is that I want a president who sticks by what he says and he means what he says. Not some guy who changes his mind just to get a vote. Even more so, Kerry is "Catholic," and he is completely denying his religion just to get votes. And yet, he still uses the Catholic Card to get votes. Classic example of him trying to please both sides.
Well, I'm sure plenty of you disagree with what I just said, so, go ahead and reply to me. It's ok, I can take it. I've been taking it all week. All month. All year. All four years. Just know that I love you all, and whoever wins, I'll be ok with.
I'm Ted Mast and I approve this message.
PS. Even if Kerry wins, I'll at least be freakin happy that all those annoying political commercials are over with.
PPS. I miss everybody. Somebody should call me and we can hang out. But not this week, because I'm so busy catching up. Bye
