after trumpet lesson
holy shit.
I'm blowing the roof off with after my lesson with greg.
Basically, he told me what I needed to fix, but said not to actively try to fix it but just think about it.
Then, he said I was good enough to bank off some nicer mouthpieces, and lent 4 of them to me for me to play with.
MAN!!!!
totally kick ass.
With all of them, I can play up to a High C without any strain. The marcinawitz mouthpiece is a lot more like my 3C, but is the worse of them all. The Monette C4 mouthpiece is not the highest playing, but the most versitile of them all for playing high and low. Anyways, that's the gist of it right now... I'm gonna blast some more notes and see what these babies can do with my new acquired knowledge.
(hahaha, man, if I had gone to the lesson before the jazz festival, I coulda blasted those notes for sonny's place EASILY, now I feel stupid for not doing that... but oh well, fife had lots of soloist awards so we wouldna won first anyways... :-P )
