Zodiac 2 part 2

A soft snore of a human girl was hardly a sound that fit in with the surrounding forest. Jaime was catching a quick cat nap after the incodent at the village. Her dreams weren't straying far from her brand new pokemon, Wolfe, The mightyena. She knew he would have to be fixed up a bit after all he had been through, meaning he needed to be groomed, fattened up and well rested but she would be able to do that withing a week or 2. and until thien he was in okay fight condition. "Mmmm puppy." Jaime smiled in her sleep.

Her pig pokemon, spoink, was fast asleep on the girl's stomach as she slept against a rock. Nothing was going to spoil their cat nap together… or so it was thought.

"Hello there…" came a voice that was nearly breathless and quite. Standing a almost 10 feet away from the girl was a man with dirty chestnut hair, gray eyes and clad in silver and black under a brown trench coat. He grinned amusingly to himself as Jaime continued to sleep. 'This is the girl? She doesn't look like much.' he thought, still he approached her and stopped 5 feet short before calling out. "Eh! You! Wake Up!" (note-- reword to japanese)

Jaime did wake up. She opened one eye to look at the strange character. Spoink copied his trainer's actions. "Can I help you?" she asked, starting to get up.

"Are you the one that caught Wolfe?" Jaime nodded, confirming this man's suspicions. He grinned, it was almost evil. "I see,… you must be pretty talented to catch such a strong pokemon."

Jaime blushed at the remark, she wasn't about to tell him she caught Wolfe by chance. Still she got an eeriee vibe off this man. She asked again. "What do you want?"

He chuckled. "A battle."

"Okay"

"Winner gets Wolfe" his face turned manically evil.

"WHAT?!" Jaime was shocked. "NO WAY!" she wasn't about to give up her new friend for anything.

"You have little choice, I Ice, am a pokemon hunter and Wolfe is a prize around here. I'll take him and all your other pokemon." He laughed.

jaime raised an eyebrow in thought "Wow, talk about needing a new hobby." she muttered to spoink, now perched on her shoulder. He nodded in agreement. Jaime frowned at him. "well you can forget it!" she said and turned to go the other way.

Ice grinned, "I think not," and he released his Ursarin (note, check pokemon spelling) who appeared in front of the girl, blocking her path.

"well since you put it that way." she said, feeling rather tiny.

"Crusher! Smash these two into a blivion!" Ice commanded. The mighty bear pokemon roared and swung his one huge clawed paw at the two. Jaime and spoink jumped out the way just in time.

"Spoink!" Jaime commanded, sparking the little pokemon into action as it lept off her shoulder. "Psybeam!"

*Spat!*

The litlte pokmon had been knocked aside like a toy ball and hit a tree trunk. KOing the little guy. "Oh man, not again." she sighed. She reached for Wolfe's ball. "Sorry you could rest more boy but I need you." she whispered to the ball. "WOLFE! I Chose You!" she called, and summoned the wolf type forth. Wolfe appeared and looked around. He saw jaime, he saw the Hunter, he the Ursarin. He saw… nothing to his interest and started to scratch a random itch. "Wolfe! I need to you battle this creep." Jaime pleaded. Wolfe looked at her, regarding her shortly with a look on his face that said "Fight him yourself" and laid down.

Ice laughed. "I see, you can't even control him!" Jaime was heart broken. "Crusher, take care of this wench."

Just then Jaime barily caught a quick pink blur zoom past her and ram the giant bear, sending him creaming through the brush of the forest adn taking down 4 trees with him. Jaime stood in the spot, scared stiff, wondering if she should've taken up training at all. She looked to see the pink blur had been a jigglypuff, a pissed jigglypuff. This had also caught Wolfe's attention.

"Good work" came a calm female voice from Jaime's oppisite side. She turned around to see a young woman wearing shirt, jeans and sunglasses covering her eyes. She hardly paid mind to her brown hair that was in the way of her face. "Now take of the other." she said.

'Other?' Jaime thought. 'Does she mean me and wolfe?' she panicked, but it was pointless as the Jigglypuff turned to the Hunter and charged at him. Next thing Jaime knew was the hunter was sailing through the air, vanishing from sight, but she wasn't about to sigh in reliefe yet. She turned to the girl who was looking right at her. Jaime gulped.

"You're pathedic." the girl remarked.

Jaime blinked. "I beg your pardon?"

"How on earth did you catch that 'thing'," motioning to Wolfe, " when you couldn't even take ut the hunter." She looked at Wolfe. "Well I guess it's not much a surprise. He looks more like a mangy bag of bones anyway compared to what I've heard. People give him to much credit." she remarked.

Wolfe growled at the girl, Jaime glared. "Hey, not everyone's born a natural and one can't expect much from a novice!" she argued. Wolfe snorted.

The girl looked at Jaime and took of her sunglasses to look at her more clearly. "Who are you?" she asked.

"Jaime -"

"Sorry" the girl apologized immediatly. "I seriously thought you were someone else I knew. I'm Erin by the way." ans she held out her hand. Jaime shook it with some hesitance. Something about the girl… "Hey, you traveling alone?" she asked. Jaime nodded. "How about this? I help you out! I got a few badges." she grinned flashing the four badges she had collected already. "I have some experience in the feild. I'll get you up to top rate."

Wolfe felt a huff of air hit his nose. He opened his eyes to see the jigglypuff. He sneered at it.

"Jig Jig!" it told the dog pokemon off.

Wolfe growled and snapped at it. The jigglypuff wacked his nose. Wolfe shot off his feet and started chasing it like a rabid fox would a squirrel.

"JIGGLY!!!!" it cried out.

Jaime immediatly threw herself in her pokemons path, catching him and holding him. Erin frowned. "You should call him back." she advised as she piked her jigglypuff up.

"Calling him back is not the way to do it." was all jaime said. Wolfe and Jaime regarded eachother for a moment then he turned away, and returned himself to his ball. Jaime frowned.

Erin and her pokemon looked at the girl. 'This is going to be different' she thought.

@*@*@*@*@*later that day*@*@*@*@*@

The duo had set up a small camp for dinner, for some reason, erin didn't want to stick around in that spot tonight. Jaime had no complaints though, she was happy enough just brushing Wolfe.

"You aren't a bit common." Erin quoted.

"I'm a good person." Jaime replied.

"Your methods are different, I'll give you that much." Erin said. "But yet to prove effective."

"Everyone has their own way of doing things I suppose. I hate doing things by the book, I like being different."

"That makes two of us." A moment of silience passed between them. "So if you caught wolfe, how could you not take on that hunter?"

Jaime frowned. "I didn't really catch him, it's more like he didn't have a choice. If he didn't come with me then the villagers would've used his hide as a rug carpet."

"Oh god, they sound about as bad as the hunters."

"What are hunters? I've never heard of them before."

Erin scowled to herself and her arms seemed to tighten around her jigglypuff more. "Pokemon Hunters are pochers that hunt and kill pokemon for sport. Some hunt them alive, selling them to the black market or to team rocket for experimentation. They have no morals and they will steal others pokemon if it suites thier fancey. They are horrible people through and through and have been known to murder trainers as well."

Jaime gulped, spink hugging his trainer's neck in fear, while jaime found herself holding onto Wolfe who looked like he could care less.

"You have nothing to worry about," Erin added. "Not with me around anyway. Once your pokemon toughen up a little you will see they are pretty easy to pick off." her last few words dripped with hatred and spite. Jaime felt it best to ignore it, she was just grateful for the added friend and protection. They sat there for another moment before erin stood up. "I'll be right back." She said and walked into the brush. Jaime dismissed it and went back to grooming her pokemon.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~15 mins~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Jiggly." Erin's little friend said as they walked deeper into the woods. They didn't walk far before hitting a small clearing no bigger than a bedroom. Erin stopped but didn't turn around. "I know you've been following me." she said.
Some one stepped out from the trees. Ice. "You know what I want. That pink powder puff on your shoulder." He grinned. "It's skin would make an excellent seat cover for my car, don't you think?"
At that very second, erin reached around behind her and pulled out something from behind her coat, turned on her heels towards Ice, Aimed and-
Jaime jumped at a loud sound. She looked up into the sky to see pidgey fleeing. "What was that?"
Erin smirked at the man standing before her, bleeding through a hold between his eyes. A smoking gun in her left hand. A sort of cackle erected from her throat. "You make a nice corpse, don't you think?" her voice echoed coldly through his dying brain. The sounds of blood going into his lungs wanted to make her dance. "Just die already." she barked and raised the gun again.
His body dropped to the ground. "Two shots waisted" she said in disgust. "still, good riddens." she regained her lusterous evil smile, her brown eyes semmed to darkend in delight. She walked over, grabbing his pokeballs and poketing them then looked at the body, using her foot to turn the head sideways towards her. "Don't worry, your pokemon will be put to good use." she remarked and walked away.
Jaime looked up to see erin reemurge from the bush. "Well that only took you forever and a day." she remarked. "Where were you?"
Erin sat down and hugged her pokemon, She smiled at the girl. "If I told you, I'd have to kill you."
Jaime giggled at the joke.
