GOTV
Get Out The Vote
Everyone in politics knows that GOTV is THE most important thing in winning a campaign. Everything else leads to that.
In the recall elections in Wisconsin, that is especially true. All recent polling shows that the state is pretty evenly divided between supporters of governor Scott Walker and the Republicans who are currently in control of the governor's office and the legislature.
What will determine the outcome is which side can really Get Out The Vote.
This election is of critical importance, not just for Wisconsin, but for all of America. It is a referendum on whether the power of billionaires like the Koch brothers and Diane Hendricks, and right wing legislation factories like ALEC will control the governmental process in Wisconsin, and across America.
What can you do if you want to support the recall side in Wisconsin, but you don't live there? The organization Democracy For America has a couple of ways. One way is to make a donation to support the local offices, canvassers and phone callers in Wisconsin.
But another way is to make phone calls yourself, via a very innovative phone system set up by DFA.
Here's how:

Republicans are going all-in for right-wing Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker. Walker's campaign has already spent $21 million trying to whitewash his record of attacking middle class families. The RNC says they'll spend whatever it takes to win. And Super PACs are spending millions trying to tear Democrats down.
They're drowning us in attack ads, but the polls haven't moved an inch. We were neck and neck six months ago, and we're neck and neck today.
There are virtually no undecided voters left, so it all comes down to Getting Out The Vote. Whoever best turns out their base will in.
