Lately, I've been reading some cartoon theories. I'm surprised I haven't explored this before considering my fandom choices.
Some of my favourites.
Inspector gadjet is a robot duplicate of the man Dr. Claw once was after a tragic accident. The accident drives Dr Claw mad which causes him to want to distroy the robot that replaced him. Penny also gets away all the time because Dr. Claw still cares for her being her uncle and all.
The smurfs are the result of a cloaning expirament done by Papa Smurf. After creating 99 of these artificial beings he turned himself into a smurf to help guide them in creating a civilazation.
The babies in Rugrats don't exist and are products of Angelica's imagination because her mother ignores her and her relationship with her father is shallow and parasitic. In reality, Chuckie died along with his mother, which is why Chaz is such a nervous wreck. Tommy was a stillborn, which causes Stu to sit in the basement making toys for his son that never had a chance to live, and the DeVilles had an abortion. Angelica couldn't decide whether the unborn child would be male or female and thus simply invented the same character in her head twice with different genders.
