I ain't dead yet!

Sooo relieved. My abstract algebra proffessor decided to give us a week off for catchin' up/reflection, which is much needed, and my statistical thermodynamics teacher gave us a few extra days for this assignment. Cripes I needed at.

Actually it's pretty cool. In quantum we're learning how the behavior of quantum particles relates to linear algebra/vector spaces, so that's neat. I feel less like I've wasted a year in that class, and quantum is actually making sense. Also, today in abstract algebra instead of really learning anything new we took an afternoon to look at where the class is going. Apperantly we're learning/proving these theorems in order to build up to a point where we can develop a method of factoring arbitrary polynomials, which, as I understand it, has application in computer science, and is also a relative hot topic for research today. So, that's neat. It's better than just going blindly forward without purpose, anyways, like we usually seem to be doing. Having a goal just seems to make the class... better. Like we're not just learning stuff simply because it's math, but actually building up to something.
