Basically an RP heavy post. If you don't play DnD then you can pretty much skip over this. Of course, I may have piqued your curiosity by writing this little disclaimer, and thus have wasted your time anyways. It's hard to predict people.
So. Good news, I'm back on WoW. Bad news, my computer is being stupid. So I'll have to figure that out.
Hopefully will be playing DnD this weekend, and not in the DM's seat, which will be a bit of relief. (By the way, Ben, please respond with expected date and times for that.) Not that I don't enjoy DMing, but it's nice once in awhile to be able to just show up having given the whole thing little to no forethought. Plus it never puts you, hypothetically speaking, into situations where one has to cop out of villain fights because one forgot one's player's handbook at Sam's, and so one couldn't put any characters with class levels in. Which I would totally never do.
Actually I should have more villains who escape at the last minute, because, let me tell you, leveled NPC's are a pain in the ass to create, to the point where even one or two can take up most of my preparation time. Dimension door=that much less work next time=happiness for Joe. Plus, Ben will probably stop complaining about monsters with DR, even though EVERY mid to high level monster has DR. But then he'll start making fun of the predictability of my villains and encounters. *sigh*
Also, any DnD-er who hasn't read The Order of the Stick should go here:
