The Value of Words

One of the chief problems with my generation, Gen 2.0, if you will, is that we have a million ways to get our message out there and have no message worth spreading. When it suits us, we speak with one voice, but it's rarely for a good purpose.
It's like we have a million great settings, but no plotline. What do we want, as a generation, other than vague ideas of hope and change...I am a liberal, don't get me wrong, but there is something oddly lacking.
It's like the eye of the storm, where we think it's calm and all over, just before something new blows us away. The world wants to believe that real change is coming. The Christians claim it's Jesus, the conspiracy buffs still want it to be aliens, and I'm rooting for a Shadowrun type resolution. I can't accurately predict the future (on a large scale) but something is brewing...I just hope it's something worth it.
