life, etc.

Today when I came in to work, there was a dying cat outside in front of our building. He/she was under a bush, with just his bottom half sticking out. I guess when my co-worker first saw him, he was breathing very heavily, but when I went out, we almost thought he was dead, until I saw his sides move with little shallow breaths. Unfortunately, due to lack of funds, the Fremont Animal Control was closed today. Few hours later, we were able to convince the police department to come get the little guy. When they pulled him out from under the bush, he was a mess. Probably a car hit him.

The image of him laying there, in the rain, barely under the bush, and just waiting to die keeps popping into my head. Fitting start to a day worthy of such horror.

The amount of pain and suffering in this shitty world is unbearable. Nobody ever asked, but I'll take the blue pill, please.
