dragonfall and I went to the panel on moderating. Neither of us are/were moderating panels here, but we thought it might have some useful pointers. It did have some, but fewer than we would have liked. We decided that we would be happy attending panels with one person on the panel moderating, but the actual moderator did a horrendous job, and we weren't pleased.
Then we wandered around a lot. We met up with friends, we checked out the dealer room, we went to the hot-tup, and we talked and talked.
I went to The Gathering. I didn't see the LJ people there, but I did talk to the guy braiding hair. The description specifically said he would teach people to braid. There was a line of people waiting to have their hair braided, but I was the only one who wanted to learn. He was delighted to show me. Most people were getting a crown braid, and he showed me how to do it and let me practice on several people. It's not hard, just requires some practice. He gave me some little flowers to hold it all together and a rubber band when I left.
I also checked in with the knitting stand. They looked at the beginnings of the sock I was making for JJ and said it was probably big enough, as ribbing streches quite a bit.
Other than that, I fell asleep.
