[Waaaaaay later when no one is around--or at least in the room--Giovanni appears all too stealthily in the room. He's standing comfortably leaning against a wall with his arms crossed, just suddenly there one time when Don looks elsewhere and turns back, as if he's always been there.]

[Don turns around eventually while he's working and nearly jumps out of his shell. This time, he doesn't try to shout, because he was partially expecting that to happen.]

M-Mr. Auditore, geez! I was beginning to worry you hadn't seen my post...

I had to find a reasonable excuse to leave my sons sides.

[He says casually and with an idle stare. He pushes off the wall, arms uncrossing, and seems to wait.] You have something to show me?

Point. And yes, I do.

[Don grins and takes up a sheet of paper, then starts writing out the piece of the Codex page that he was given, translated into Italian. Once he's done, he hands it to Giovanni to inspect.]

[He doesn't comment on what the page contained, not wanting anyone to possibly overhear unless Giovanni wants to risk it himself. Which is why he had only written it down now--so that no one would see it, save for Giovanni.]

[Giovanni looks at the page and decides he is satisfied. He smiles slightly, a darker smile than his usual but not quite bordering on scary. He nods.]

Yes. Bene. This is good.

[He looks up and meets Don's eyes.] I have something else for you to do.

[Don't worry. He's used to seeing scary smiles. Especially when he's in trouble, and Splinter has a good punishment planned.]

Thank you.

[Don meets his eyes, calmly curious.] Something else?

[He reaches into one of his belt pouches and produces the Codex page. He shows it to Don--it's the real thing this time around--and it's much larger. There's more information. And sketches.]

I need you to fix something for me. It probably won't stay a secret forever, not in this place, but the longer the more pleased I shall be. Capito?

[Don takes it and just barely stops himself from starting to decode it so that he can listen to Giovanni. When Giovanni finishes speaking, he looks serious, solemn, and he nods. The turtle is taking all that to heart.]

Yes. I'll make sure no one knows about it, save you.

[He glances down at the paper again. It.. looks like a hidden blade of sorts? He'd have to decode it, but...]

[Giovanni doesn't give him the chance. He folds the page back up carefully and sticks it back in his pouch. But what he draws out next is even better.

The pieces of the hidden blade, wrapped up delicately in a soft leather sheet, as they have been since he broke it. He hands it to Don and then gets out another sheet of paper. This one is obviously more modern and the handwriting on it is Giovanni's neat script. The translation of the Codex page is both in Italian and in English. He hands that off as well.]

This is all you'll need besides your own tools. I thank you, and be careful.

[It is even better, and Don handles the blade carefully as if it were made out of glass in respect for Giovanni. He looks over the translation and smiles. This will save him time.

He looks back up to Giovanni.]

I will use the utmost of care with repairing this. Thank you for your trust, Mr. Auditore. I'll get this back to you--in one piece--as soon as possible.

[He nods.]

I shouldn't hang around right now.

[He turns to go.]

[Don nods, then smiles softly as he goes to hide what Giovanni has given him.]

You have more to deal with than Leo, now. It's better safe than sorry.

Remind me to more formally meet your entire family in the near future.

[Comes the ghost-like voice, as the Assassin is already disappeared while Don's back was turned.]

[A chuckle. He's not surprised to see that Giovanni was gone. He's getting a bit used to it, and he's a ninja himself. Assassins and ninjas are a bit similar, after all..]
