Whoa back again...
Hi everyone... I'm in positive spirits as I write this entry. So those concerned with my mood as of late can relax. I'm cool. :)
This is going to be recappy so here goes. Lately I've been feeling sorta stagnant which isn't bad but not persay good either. I think this round was started due to the reintroduction of a high school friend back into my life. Somehow I felt more productive when I was formally in school. But I'm not comfortable with how things are going with my life again as I'm not displeased honestly. Those who know me just accept that I like to moan about things and if I wasn't that something would probably be really wrong.
Anyhoo I've gotten to spend alot of time with people from my past lately. Eric is now someone that for the time being I see weekly which is pretty cool. He likes to go out and I had terribly missed that with my group of friends. Loretta also from high school came to visit this past weekend. We had a blast. On Friday, Loretta, Eric, Issac, Issac's roomate, and I all hit Dickson street. We went to the theater and danced. It was really nice... seems like forever since the last I did something like that with my friends. Saturday I spent with Diana and Loretta primarily. We had a Greek lunch as Loretta has never had the opportunity to eat such food. That went over well. Sadly I now have my first car boo boo... I cliped the curb a tad while I was pararell parking as the spot I was in wasn't the same height as the one in front. I'm sorta dismayed as I've never done such a thing althought it's not really that significant a boo boo. Moving on... we picked up Anna (also from high school) and had a girl's nite of sorts. Dinner was excellent with rack of lamb, veggie medley, and couscous. Yummy!
Taking a side detour for a few to keep it cronological. Work this week MAJORLY sucked! On Mon morn as I was walking into the door the owner was waiting for me. Apparently our whole system was down so no one was able to work. Most of Mon was spent trying to get the system up and stable enought to keep going. Luckily this week we are Arvest's Customer of the week so the free goodies everyday kept most at bay. Thankfully I did not have to stay til 9:30pm that nite. But I did have to come in early on Tues... finally somewhere in there we got things solid enough. Yay! Sadly the only super backup server copy was one I made when I first started the job... so we had to recreate employee accounts who had been hired since that first backup. That consumed most of my time on Wed.
Jump back... Thurs-Sun aka now. :) I'm currently sitting in Washington DC at my friend's home. I'm here to help her with her wedding reception. Elfije is a girl I knew from my freshman year of college before I moved back to Arkansas. We've kept in touch over the years and it's great to see her and participate. Yesterday I arrived in DC and got to help pick out flowers and decorate. Today we are fixing food including the cake. So I'm having alot of fun. Saturday will be the big reception which should be fab.
Other news, went to the city meeting to discuss Art Fest. Got high marks for Dancenhance! :) Am hoping for excellent opps from it. Justin and I have some big ideas planned but for now we are just in the brainstorming level. Hopefully I'll be able to start talking about events soon.
For now, I hope all of my friends are well. Friends and lurkers should all leave me a message so I know how things are going. This journal is too quiet...I know that people are reading it!
