Cindy Sheehan is breaking her promise to stay out of politics:
http://www.reuters.com/article/domesticNews/idUSN0928449420070709 "WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Cindy Sheehan, who became a leading anti-war activist after her son died in Iraq, said on Monday she will run against House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi if the Democratic leader fails to seek the ouster of President George W. Bush within the next two weeks."
My thoughts:
1. Great way to start a political career: by lying and breaking promises. She'll fit right in.
2. "Waah, Bush wouldn't meet with me, I want him impeached, I will threaten to run against my representative if she doesn't impeach the meanie because he wouldn't meet with me, waah waaah!"
3. OK, maybe it's not REALLY like that. More like: "Boy, I miss being the center of media attention."
4. Here's why she's an attention Junkie:
Representatives are elected every two years, on odd years. Pelosi is up for re-election in 2008. Sound familiar? Right, it's the same year as the presidential election.
Meaning: even if Pelosi loses, she'll be leaving office at the same time as Bush. So Sheehan isn't trying to get into office to impeach Bush. She has no clear motive.
She's an attention junkie. Pure and simple.
