Well, generally, my Will usually feels like he's giving something to the other person that they need when they have sex. (Er. Not in an egotistical way.) So that helps get to the porn, because it's not all about him.

No! I totally get that. Will's a helper. He's a healer. So it really often is about the feelings/healings/giving. It's just... getting to the point where the other person is screaming that need loud enough for him to hear it over his FEEEEEEEELINGS...especially when it's Helen.

Well, you know, he does kind of have to counterbalance Magnus's stiff upper lip. ;)

I actually have this theory that the reason it's so much harder (no pu--yeah, it's me, pun TOTALLY intended) with Magnus is that with her, there's actually an element of his own personal need involved.

It's not that I can't write him loving anyone else. I can. I could. It's just with Magnus, he needs her, she's got under his skin, and if it goes wrong then...it'll eviscerate him. So it's always angsty at first at least, because WHAT IF HE SCREWS THIS UP?

*nods* Oh, yeah, I totally get that. That's pretty much what my post-Next Tuesday fic was about. They both had to fool themselves that it didn't mean nearly as much as it really did, just in order to do the deed. And Will knows it's going to hurt like hell in the future, but he'll do absolutely anything for Magnus.
