Funny. She doesn't feel like a machine. Not when Helo's looking at her like that. Not when her husband's eyes glow with fierce, stubborn love.

Her husband. The idea bubbles up through her system, and maybe it's just the fabrication of her machine-mind stimulating her body's chemistry, but all Sharon can do is grin. She can't stop grinning.

First Cylon to love. First Cylon to marry. Maybe this is the beginning of the new age of human-Cylon cooperation. God's will. The plan.

She can't stop grinning, because Will, Plan, New Age, Helo is her husband. And she's his wife.

He comes over to her from where he's listening to some story Jammer's bending his ear with, bends his head to hers. "Wife," he murmurs, and the sound is silkier than her genetically perfect hair.

"Husband." Her eyes feel bright when his fingers lace with hers and lift the hand to his mouth to kiss.

"Mrs. Karl Agathon, you are the most beautiful thing I've ever laid eyes on."
