What The Fuck Are Technophobes Up To?

Wee Update (Might get big, depends how long I ramble for.)

Over the nex few months and into 2006, we plan to do some recording and a lot of gigging. Obviously the fact that most of us are students with jobs and loads of other commitments makes it hard for us to prioritise it. But for anyone who was wondering what we were up to then heres the plan:

By about March 2006 we should hopefully have self recorded/produced/released a 6 track EP with some new songs and some older ones which haven't been recorded before or need re-recording. It's nothing major and I don't think any of us want to get into the habit of self releasing albums or anything, but just now it seems like the best option.

Also to go with the EP hopefully we will do some more low quality camera phone videos (like the Watashi ones on the homepage) - probably of the 4 songs from our demo, "Tecnohphobes EP" . These plus some photies, bios, and any extra audio stuff we can find will go on a DVD to accompany the EP. This is the plan anyway.

Meanwhile, while this goes on, we hope to get as many gigs under our belt as possible to develop this somewhat of fanbase we've grown over the last few months. So any promoters who want to give us a gig especailly in the Glasgow area please get in touch.

On the topic of gigs, we have one. 20th October with NLD and Tony Shoebox. Supposedly Odeon Beatclub are playing but you never know with these fucking things.

Sorry, I bloody hate long LJ posts, so just a few more points.

Hopefully see yous at a gig soon and finally could the diehard fans (aye you) possibly convince their Livejournal friends who like Technophobes to join this wee community? or any of their Technophobe-liking friends who use t'net to sign up for LJ and join. Please don't spam every contact ever, but just hint/say to people who you think this community may be of relevance to.

Thanks Iain.
