Toshiba: messenger of the gods.

I recently had a very strange idea (imagine that).  I live in a smoke-free home and can't burn incense, which many people seem to believe helps various spirits and godforms gain a physical form.  I didn't want to be left out of this reading way way too much into random images, and discovered a solution buried on the first page of William Gibson's Neuromancer.

My elemental tools, idols, and various metaphysical knick-knacks no longer directly rest on my altar.  They now rest on an old TV I found at the Salvation Army.  After ritually cleansing it, I added it to the altar space and tuned it to a dead channel.

I have found this to be pretty effective so far, not to mention that it scares the SHIT out of guests when I'm chanting in front of TV static.  Has anyone else ever tried anything like this?
