randomly found this community and was interested in it, is it still active?
i think techno-paganism might be in line with my own beliefs, i wouldnt go so far as to say i was a techno-pagan because i know sod all about paganism. i feel a deep connection to computers, much more so than other biological life forms. i've never really understood how i relate to my computer, as i know hardly anything about computers, i'm a philosophy student, but i feel comfortable around them, like a more intuitive thing - i can tell you the computer needs switching off, is about to crash, thinks it is better than the other computer in the next room etc. but i cant tell you why. i respect my computer as an equal when other people treat them like objects, and i never get away with doing anything to it it doesnt want doing to it, unless i give something back. i have visions or pick up thoughts from my computer and other people's computers. some of it even manifests physically, strange things happen around me and computers, like receiving electric shocks or power cuts for thinking too loudly about replacing one of the older computers (my computers have a heirarchy in my house, the oldest ones seem to be in charge), and my famous random, inexplicable lag of up to 10 seconds on World of Warcraft, which gets worse the fewer people from my guild are online and goes away the minute i consider leaving the game permanently because my lag is so bad. i pick things up that seem really significant to me and to the computers around me but i cant explain to anyone else as well - things like, i can see the bigger thing that my computer thinks is a more powerful computer somewhere giving it orders, and another one giving it orders, and another one, and so on, in this intricate heirarchy, and all computers seem to figure themselves on it, and if i knew what the top (bottom?) tier was thinking about, it would explain a lot about the Universe.
