So, I have a question: how do you debug magick?
See, I am a programmer by mindset and training, if not by trade. When I am writing code, I am testing and debugging all along the way. I check the output, I print out the variables at different stages, I play with each module then place it into the whole of the program once I know it's working the way I want. The process of debugging is a constant process of feedback from the program and the runtime environment.
With magick, I get perpetually frustrated. I can put together what I think is a useful ritual, rich with symbolism and one I can really get my intent and will behind. Then I do the ritual. And I hope it works.
How do you correct the magickal work you do? How do you get feedback on how it is working so that you can adjust it?
