Tyra is not a good rolemodel......

So today is Thursday. That probably means I'm on the edge of falling into a deep pit and crying....well, why not, its Thursday and I'm not sure there is much else better to do. Actually, that pretty much sums it up!
So my morning started off all kinds of weird, namely my boss showed up early, like before I've had 12 cups of coffee (circa 8:00 am). Usually, if my boss is coming in early, something is up. And sure enough.... I'm not sure if something about how I'm doing things is trivial or if there is a real problem..... I roll in early, I'm flexible, and I expect a lot of my people when I NEED too.....I also have much greater things to worry about than a fucking time clock!
So I'm not really good about having my guys keep actual clocked hours.....I guess there is some sort liability all wrapped up in this, so its back to the tried and true....and appearently I can't let up about this. And that pisses me off! I know my guys aren't getting paid for 80 unless they clock 80, and yet OT isn't being granted..... So let me take them Salaried "non-exempt" like I was in Wyoming, for FUCKS SAKE. It simplified things...I turned in a timecard for 80 hours, and unless my boss approved it otherwise I got paid for 80. I didn't have the run around of timecard micromanagement....
The accusation is there in plain daylight, somebody is abusing the system.....and gee, it wasn't any of us, we've got enough ways to defend that. Someone is jealous of how I'm doing things and it needs to have a stop put to it. Yes, I had a very Tyra moment about this...and yes, some poor under priviliged children in Ethiopia (appearently its more PC to say that right now) might die. These sort of petty issues always makes me nuts.....
