So, the last presidency it was democrats and other assorted liberals bashing Bush and his regime. Now that a democrat is in the White House, seems almost the reverse has taken place. Are those who supported the last president simply making up for the blunders of their "made man" and pointing out the blunders of their counterparts'?
Either way, even though I have supported bashing of presidents in the past, and being a liberal and not a democrat... I see it as counter productive to building a stronger nation. However, some of the hateful and defaming things which have been published seem almost drivel... I don't recall any event when the public called for the ousting of a president in recent history based on religious speculation - or questions of American citizenship.
Does the color of his skin equate to somehow being less American than white presidents? Sexual orientation being called into question, as well as questioning a president's dedication to his wife and or children? These things, which seemed to be reserved for celebrities have now shifted towards our elected leader and chief... That seems un-American. I may have griped before but to slander our President in these ways seems so cruel and immature.
I'm just tired of it and thinking I may have shared a part in directing the trend to this point is disturbing.
