Ah, family...
It's funny-- my family is highly dysfunctional. Although recently, people have been telling me that abnormal families are normal (ha, go figure). But tonight, both my brothers and their wives were at our house for dinner, and talking and laughing with them just made me feel so whole. (I mean, I didn't feel empty before, but there was a fuller sense of completeness at dinner, and now as well). It felt so nice to just be with my family, and not feel like our problems were casting a shadow upon us. And I don't know, I just felt like documenting this, because hey, it's not every day that my family is together, and even more than that, it's CERTAINLY not every day that I feel like we are even slightly normal. Sometimes, family just hits the spot, makes everything better. Tonight was one of those times. That's really all I wanted to say.
