[Quinn hasn't been himself lately. The fallout event was rough on him, and he keeps losing friends lately. Finding April droned - seemingly for good - really stung. He seems to drift into space a lot, but if you ask him if anything is wrong, he gives you his usual grin and says he's totally cool. He spends a lot of time mindlessly playing video

[It's not hard for Lyn to spot Quinn, given how nearby he lives. Nor is it hard for him to notice how depressed the guy he's becoming increasingly friendly with looks. He hesitates briefly - empathy and cheering people up aren't exactly his strong suits - before opting to go over anyway.]

Sup. [He'll just sit down by Quinn, not exactly thrilled about the smoke but not coughing at it either. He doesn't like cigarettes that much - no one who's ever lived in Hell really needs any more smoke in their lives - but even a demon centuries delinquent from Hell can't be bothered by smoke much.]

[Quinn's not good at hiding being depressed. It's not a feeling he's used to very much.] Hey man. How's it hangin'?

Okay, I guess. [He glances sidelong at Quinn.] I'd ask how you're doing, but I can kinda already tell. If your face got any longer you'd have to be careful not to step on it.

[Quinn smiles, but there's not much behind it.] I look that bad, huh? Ya know, I try not to let this pace get to me, but sometimes even I get bad days, I guess.

Yeah, I know the feeling. [Lyn turns his gaze toward the street.] It usually doesn't bug me much here, aside from how fucking boring it is - or how fucking insane it is, when things get eventful. But sometimes...it's bad even by Mayfield standards.

So what's bugging you?

Ain't easy to sleep after nuclear apocalypse. That, and I keep seemin' to lose friends lately to dronin'.

...shit. Sorry, man. [Lyn glances over at Quinn, then bumps his shoulder against the taller man's in a gesture of solidarity.] I know the feeling. And it sucks.

Thanks, man. Sadly, I know a lotta people here do. [He smiles sadly.]

Yeah... [Lyn looks down at the ground.] So, uh...who'd you lose? Or do you not wanna talk about it?

Dunno if ya know 'em, but Daniel 'n' April.

Never knew anybody named April, I don't think...Daniel I think I met a couple times, but we never hung out or anything. [Lyn shrugs a little at this.] Sorry.
